ActivClient integrates a company`s physical security solutions such as smart cards, Universal Serial Bus (USB) tokens, and other credentials. This product can authenticate users to a number of desktop, network, and productivity applications. This entry covers the Desktop Edition of this technology and not any mobile versions. Administrator (CSA) to obtain a copy of the ActivClient Home Use Middleware package. The Windows 7 version of home use middleware is estimated to be available February 2010. Verify that you have a fully PIV-II-compliant CAC. To determine if your card is compliant, check the card type printed on the back of your CAC. What is ActivClient? ActivClientis the main DoD CAC software. ActivClient is the smart card middleware from ActivIdentity that allows government organizations to easily use smart cards and USB tokens for a wide variety of desktop, network security and productivity applications.
